Service Agreement

This Service Agreement (this "Agreement") sets forth the terms and conditions of members’ use of ChristiansOnNet.org’s free services.  To become a ChristiansOnNet.org member, members must read and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions of this Agreement and any policies that are or may be published by ChristiansOnNet.org. ChristiansOnNet.org reserves the right to deny service to anyone. ChristiansOnNet.org may modify the terms and conditions of this Agreement, as well as terminate or change the services offered.  Members will be bound by the modified Agreement and policies if members continue to use the services. Members must believe in the Statements of Faith listed on the ChristiansOnNet.Org website and membership is non-transferable at all time. Member must not host any 3rd party information or other groups' information which does not belong to his/her organization or group.

1. Scope of Services and Members’ Obligations

1.2. Members are responsible for producing, electronically uploading and maintaining HTML files, execution scripts, applets and applications (the "Upload Materials") to members’ website, and members hereby warrant that all Upload Materials shall be owned or properly licensed by members and shall not adversely impact the services of ChristiansOnNet.org or violate any rights of any third parties.  Members are responsible for ensuring that all Upload Materials will function properly and as intended.  Members are responsible for all activity originating from members’ website, unless proven to be a victim of outside hacking or address forgery.  Members assume responsibility for all material on members’ website that may be put on by a third party. Members acknowledge that members have the necessary knowledge to create, modify and maintain members’ website. ChristiansOnNet.org may provide members some knowledge about website development.

1.3 The server data is back up once a week. Backup is total backup and it backs up everything including email data. However, the backup data is only kept for one week and will be overwritten by next backup to save bandwidth and space. Members are responsible to backup and to maintain members’ website / data.  If loss of data occurs due to an error of ChristiansOnNet.org, ChristiansOnNet.org will attempt to recover the data. If ChristionOnNet.org is unable to recover members’ website / data, then members will need to restore from members’ own copy or members’ own back up.

1.4 ChristiansOnNet.org does not provide development support or internal database support with any of its packages currently.

1.5. Initially ChristiansOnNet.Org provides 300MB storage space for a new member. The storage space may be increased upon the approval of core members.

2. Fees

Any services provided by ChristiansOnNet.org are free.

3. Acceptable Uses

3.1 Use and Misuse of the Services. 

All complaints of abuse, violation and misuse of the  Services, whether described in this Section 3 or otherwise,  shall be investigated promptly.  If members are not sure if members’ actions will be an abuse, violation or misuse, please ask first: infoChristiansOnNet.org 

Members agree to use the services only for lawful purposes, in compliance with all applicable laws and agree to use the services to promote Christianality. This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Member and ChristiansOnNet.Org agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the province of Ontario and of Canada. 

ChristiansOnNet.org, in its sole discretion, will determine what action will be taken  in response to a violation on a case-by-case basis.  Violations of this Agreement could subject members to criminal or civil liability.

4. Email Use. 

Members should not send email to any user who does not wish to receive it, either at ChristiansOnNet.org or elsewhere.  ChristiansOnNet.org recognizes that email is an informal medium; however, members must refrain from sending further email to a user after receiving a request to stop.

Members may not alter the headers of email messages to disguise their identity or to prevent users from responding to the messages. ChristiansOnNet.org may disclose the usernames of accounts responsible for forged email messages to system administrators or users requesting the information. 

If some Member is found guilty of forwarding mass unsolicited or "SPAM" email through web servers, ChristiansOnNet.org reserves the right to terminate the Member's account without notification.

6.  Right to Terminate Agreement

ChristiansOnNet.org reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Services to members and remove or prevent access to any material from members’ website at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any conduct that ChristiansOnNet.org, in its sole discretion, believes violates this Agreement or is otherwise harmful to ChristiansOnNet.org's interests or the interests of other accountholders.

7.  Cancellation of Accounts

Members may cancel members’ ChristiansOnNet.org account by email to infoChristiansOnNet.org. The web hosting and email support will terminate after the notice.

8. Miscellaneous

Mutual link exchange with other websites shall be limited only to non-commercial evangelical Christian websites, and shall require the approval of the core group.

We reserve the right not to respond to communications that we deem to be rude or unreasonable.
